B&B Residenza Le Fornaci takes the name from the farm "Le Fornaci ", in fact the residence once was the country property's housing place. A careful search has revealed that denomination "Le Fornaci" is due to the way the building was used in the past.

In the beginning of the XIVth century the name "Le Fornaci " is still present along the way that exits from Porta San Matteo, it appears many times in documents.

Pompeo Neri in "Inquiry on the State of the Manufactures of Granducato of Tuscany" assembled in 1768, assert that in an area called "Le Fornaci ", outside Porta San Matteo many were potters.

In the 2.000 mq. garden which surrands the Residenza Le Fornaci the guests can sun bade and use the barbecue.
